About Cherish Kirkland

We are an independent, volunteer-led civic organization — renters, homeowners, and business owners from all thirteen Kirkland neighborhoods. We serve as a bridge between City Hall and residents.

We explain council and planning commission decisions in plain language, summarize lengthy meetings and public documents, highlight upcoming hearings, surveys, and deadlines, and publish source documents so you can verify the information yourself.

Our role is to increase understanding — not agreement. We value accuracy before speed, context before conclusions, and primary sources whenever possible. When we get something wrong, we fix it and note what changed.

Cherish Kirkland is not a political action committee, does not endorse candidates, and is not affiliated with the City of Kirkland or any political party. Individual volunteers have personal opinions; official Cherish Kirkland communications are issue-focused rather than candidate-focused.
